Team Comtress 2

A mod for Team Fortress 2 to fix bugs, improve performance, and add quality of life, with the goal of having those changes pulled upstream by Valve to the modern game. This mod helps us test features, and allows users to have an area where they can enjoy the changes and get involved.

We're also experimenting with continuing support work for gameplay balance and other game features. While this falls outside the original scope of the project, we believe it's an area where we can create value for players of the mod and the community at large. We won't be submitting these changes to Valve, although they may inform other changes that are more in line with the original project.

Once the mod exits early access, we will look to publish it on Steam.

Installation Instructions

1. Install the itch.io app
2. Download Team Comtress 2 through the app to receive automatic updates. You can copy this page's URL and paste it into the bar in the app to install.
3. Make sure you have Team Fortress 2 installed on Steam
4. You can now play Team Comtress 2 in the itch app!

Note: On Linux, the Flatpak version of itch will not work unless you execute tc2.sh manually! Please use the official install script from the link above.

Also, make sure the itch sandbox is disabled. Due to how TC2 interacts with Steam, it cannot run properly in a sandbox.

If you're on Windows and do not want to use the itch.io app, you can download the ZIP and double click the tc2 batch file.
